We're adding documents all the time.

Right now we're working on ...

  • approximately 200 manuscript letters and ephemeral documents of the Beaver family of Fluvanna  
  • approximately 3 camel-back trunks' worth of materials from the Ida Countryman collection

So far our collections include more than 500 documents, such as the following:

  • an 1880s school essay by A. L. Reese titled 'My Ideal House,' from the Gonzales Memorial Museum
  • L. N. Bellinger's 'A short tradition of the State Seal of Texas and how it came to be adopted,' written to A. L. Reese, from the Gonzales Memorial Museum

  • two 1918 letters from Claude H. Pitted, a US soldier at Kelly Field, to Lily Lutman, from the Hawkins Collection
  • a 1925 letter from Wallace, a traveling salesman in Dallas, to Laura Fonderson in Maine, from the Hawkins Collection
  • 1937 Library Records, from the Gonzales Memorial Museum
  • 89 letters from Captain Louis V. Kahmer, Jr., stationed at Kelly Field in San Antonio in 1945, to his fiancee Alma Herda in Baltimore, from the Hawkins-Kimball Collection
  • 17 letters from Corporal Robert G. Raymund, stationed at Kelly Field in San Antonio in 1942-43, to his family in Akron, from the Hawkins-Kimball Collection
  • 80 pieces of correspondence between Private James Tripp, stationed in Pittsburg, California, and Jean Stinson in Dallas
